| Protech launches high-end, low-power Intel Pentium M/Celeron M CPU mini-ITX board |

Taipei, Taiwan, July 4, 2006 ¡V Protech Systems Co., Ltd., the leading provider of industrial computers, recently launched the PMB-562LF mini-ITX, RoHS-compliant motherboard supporting the advanced Intel® Low-Voltage Pentium® M and Celeron® M processors and representing one of the most powerful embedded boards in its class.
Intel® Pentium® M CPUs efficiently perform high-end, multi-tasking processes on a low 10-watt thermal design, making the PMB562-LF a cost-effective platform of choice for a variety of applications including car PCs, PVRs, point-of-sales, kiosks, gaming and multimedia systems. The PMB-562LF incorporates the Intel® 855GME and ICH4 chipsets to form a 400 MHz high-bandwidth Front Side Bus for faster system response and process execution. It also comes with the integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics 2 technology that supports several display outputs including 18-/36-bit LVDS LCD and CRT. The PMB-562LF facilitates fast and effortless expansion via an onboard PCI and mini-PCI slots.

By combining a powerful processor, integrated graphics, versatile expansion, and dual-LAN connectivity, the PMB-562LF is Protech's answer to the industry's demand for high-end embedded mini-ITX boards," Gavin Chen, Protech's Embedded Computing PM said. He added that the PMB-562LF's low-power feature has been proven to reduce operating costs, improve thermal management and offer the highest performance per watt than any other mini-ITX board in the market today.
Systems requiring high-level and strong memory support will benefit from PMB-562LF's DDR architecture capable of supporting up to a 1 GB DDR 333 MHz module in the SODIMM package.
Featuring an ergonomic mini-ITX footprint and fanless operation, users can easily install the PMB-562LF in compact industrial chassis and other embedded solutions for fast return on investment and limited operational down-time.
The PMB-562LF also highlights robust connectivity through four high-speed USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port for 16550-compatible UART, three RS-232 ports, a parallel port, a serial infrared port, and two 10/100 Base-T Ethernet ports. Audio I/O is provided by Realtek ALC655 codec that supports multi-channel audio.
