Taipei, Taiwan - Protech System Co., Ltd., an associate member of Intel® Communications
Alliance and Microsoft Embedded Partner will be presenting the world’s first
BTX (Balanced Technology Extended) form factor industrial motherboard at Computex
Taipei 2005, which will be held by May 31st to June 4th, 2005 at Taipei World
Trade Center. Protech will focus on 3 major product lines, such as PC (Single
Board, Applied PC and Panel PC), POS (POS Terminal, POS Accessories, POS PC) and
ACG (Networking, Storage, Workstation) products and Intel Leader Account Products
(PMB-551), which is collaborated by Protech and Intel.
Intel Leader Account Product – Protech’s new industrial motherboard,
the PMB-551, is built on Intel’s® latest Tillman platform and engineered
for the Intel® Pentium® M processor (Dothan). It provides for greater
thermal performance with Intel’s ® E7520 (Lindenhurst) North Bridge
of 533/400MHz FSB. Protech is presenting the PBM-551 as the best solution for
excellent system performance in servers and workstations.
IPC Products
The IPC products will focus on the RoHS (Restriction on use of Hazardous Substance
in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive as set out by the European
Union. In order to demonstrate the achievements of complying with “RoHS”,
10 CPU Cards and 2 systems will be exhibit during the show.

friendly materials used in our products we want to demonstrate our achievements
of complying with the RoHS guidelines as well as our social responsibility for
global environment preservation”, said Jack Chen, president of Protech
Systems.
To take an active role in protecting the environment Protech makes use of several
Pb-free equipments during the manufacturing process which includes lead-free-eutectic
hot-air re-flow
ovens, modular high-speed mounters, and wave solder machines.
POS Products
Two dedicated designed and manufactured of 15” POS terminals (PS-8851A
and PS-6505-POS) will be debut during the trade show. The PS-8851A is engineered
for retailers who want to create and attractive, ultramodern POS environment
to take advantage of the latest applications for e-business.
The PS-6505-POS was designed for retail operations and convenience stores that want
to use a cost-effective 15” touch POS solution that offers a lot of flexibility
for store management and functionality. The PS-6505-POS is also equipped with a
Mini PCI Intel ® Wireless 802.11b/g card.
