Protech Systems announces the new Pentium® M series single board computers, based on the latest Intel processor, Pentium® M and Intel® 855GME chipset. The Pentium® M series is allowing systems to be thin, light and with low power design. The new Pentium® M processor incorporates innovative power-management which enables computer to run robust application with low power consumption. It is an excellent balance of performance and electrical expenditure. Despite the low power advantage, the new Pentium® M series also provides high speed networking availability, onboard Intel® 82541GI chipset supports dual LAN ports up to 1Gigabits.The new Pentium® M series provide different size form factors SBCs including PICMG full size board PSB-501, PCI bus half size board PCI-501, 5.25” disksize embedded board LB-501, and Flex-ATX industrial motherboard PMB-501.
The Prox-F501 supports Intel® Pentium® M processor up to 1.8GHz with 400MHz front side bus, and two 184-pin 266/333MHz DDR SDRAM DIMM sockets capable of supporting 2GB of memory. Onboard with Intel® 855GME chipset, Prox-F501 provides multi display functions, including CRT, DVO, and LVDS LCD. Also with an additional socket for the Compact Flash™ bootable IDE-compatible flash memory module, the Prox-F501 ensures exceptional expansion capabilities. Other powerful functions of Prox-F501 are 2 COM ports, 4 high speed USB2.0 ports, AC'97 Codec, keyboard/mouse connectors, 2 EIDE (UDMA 33/66/100) interfaces, printer port, etc. The Prox-F501 will be available in June 2004.
The PCI-501 is a PCI bus half-size board, supports Intel® Pentium® M processor up to 1.8GHz, and one 200-pin DDR SO-DIMM memory up to 1 GB. The PCI-501 also equipped with a Compact Flash™ bootable IDE-compatible flash memory module for expansion capabilities. Onboard with Intel 82541GI chipset, it can provide up to 1 gigabits high bandwidth Ethernet. The PCI-501 supports 4 USB2.0 ports that accelerate the speed of data transaction. Other standard features of PCI-501 include, 2 COM ports (COM2 is selectable for RS232/422/485), 1 EIDE interface, 1 parallel port, keyboard/mouse connector, 1 IrDA port, and 1 EPCI connector for expansion slot. The PCI-501 will be available in May 2004.
The LB-501 is a 5.25" disksize embedded board, supports Intel® Pentium® M processor up to 1.8GHz or up reserved and provides system memory up to 2GB DDR DRAM. Integrated Intel® 855GME chipset provides multiple display functions, including analog display, dual independent displays and Digital Video Out display. Dual independent display can view two independent video sources when external monitor or panel is connected to the board.
