Protech Systems Co., Ltd, the major manufacturer of PC-based industrial computers, today announces PSB-1720, its newest Pentium 4 full size CPU card with support for Intel P4 Northwood CPU, 2GB DDR memory, 10/100 based PCI Ethernet, and AGP 4X VGA. Targeting to provide a value solution, PSB-1720 only integrates the most demanded functions on board to give significant performance and reliability gains at lower cost.
The new full size SBC is a powerhouse packed with features. The PSB-1720 is equipped with a single Intel mPGA478 socket supporting up to 3.6GHz Pentium 4 processor with auto-selection of bus frequency 400 MHz/533 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) and core voltage, two 184-pin 200MHz DDR SDRAM DIMM sockets capable of supporting 2GB of memory. Also onboard with Intel 845GV chipset, that enables faster performance with simultaneous instruction processing. Integrated Intel Extreme Graphics and hi-speed USB 2.0 and independent audio engine enable fast and exciting user experiences. Incorporating Pentium 4 processor and 845GV chipset with all the other necessary features, the PSB-1720 engenders compelling cost-effective mainstream applied computing platforms for Intelligent Terminal, Multimedia console or network appliance.
The Intel 845GV featuring DVMT (Dynamic Video Memory Technology) balances memory usage, enabling optimum amount of memory allocated from DDR main memory for video usage. The included DVO port simplified support for digital displays and TV out. The PSB-1720 also equipped Intel 82562 EM PHY to provide fast 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet and support Wake-on-LAN functions.
Other standard features include two EIDE UDMA 33/66/100 interfaces, one Compact Flash interface, one floppy interface, two serial ports, one parallel port, one infrared connector, one keyboard, mouse, speaker ports, one RJ-45 LAN port, and four USB 2.0 ports.
Because of its powerful handling capabilities, the PSB-1720 is intended for customers in the areas of telecommunications, network computing and industrial control where processing power and throughput is crucial to the success of the business.
